This handkerchief features my great-great grandmother, Minna Finstad-Brodahl, as its center image. The entire piece was hand designed and screen printed in two layers of dye on silk. Its hand drawn pattern was inspired by the dress she is wearing in the photograph. Around the handkerchief's edge writing details the births of five generations of women in my family.
